SUMMARY:Connecticut Chapter: Sneaker Drive Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Step Up for Good — Sneaker Drive Fundraiser | December 1\, 2025 – January 31\, 2026 | PowerHouse Gym – Bristol (Drop-off Box Location)\nRecycle Sneakers. Change Lives. \nThe CT Chapter is partnering with GotSneakers.com to launch a Sneaker Recycling Fundraiser\, and we’d love your help. \nHere’s the deal: most of us have a few pairs of old sneakers sitting in the back of the closet. Instead of letting them pile up or end up in a landfill\, we can give them new life and make a difference for kids and families right here in Connecticut. \nAll funds raised will go to Gift of Adoption (CT Chapter)\, providing financial support to families adopting children in need. \nHow It Works \nGather up your old sneakers — any brand\, any size\, any condition. Drop them off at one of our collection spots (coming soon). GotSneakers.com will handle the rest. \nGood-quality sneakers are cleaned and re-used in secondhand markets around the world; worn-out ones are recycled responsibly — materials get reused or turned into clean energy. \nFor every pair collected\, funds go straight to Gift of Adoption (CT Chapter) to help bring children home to loving families. Depending on the condition of the shoes\, GOA will receive up to $7 per pair. \nWhy Join In? \nYou’ll clear out space and do something great for the planet. \nYou’ll help families grow through adoption. \nYou’ll keep sneakers out of landfills and support affordable footwear worldwide. \nIt’s a simple act with a big impact — every pair counts! \nHow You Can Help \n\nDonate your sneakers — even one pair helps.\nHost a collection box at your gym\, school\, or office.\nSpread the word! Share this with friends and family to keep the momentum going.\n\nReady to step up?\nLet’s turn old sneakers into new beginnings. \nTo learn more\, email Darrell Cook\, Gift of Adoption CT Chapter Board member at drcook01@yahoo.com. \nAdditional Drop-off Locations: \n\nYMCA\, Southington | 29 High St\, Southington\, CT 06489\nSouthington High School | 720 Pleasant St\, Southington\, CT 06489
