Chapter Goal

Each year, Gift of Adoption Colorado receives requests from approximately 14 qualified families – representing a funding need of $56,000. The goal of the Colorado Chapter’s all-volunteer board is to raise enough funds to help complete each of these adoptions. 100% of the money raised by the chapter is directed to uniting children with forever families in the area.

Founded in 2014, the Colorado Chapter of Gift of Adoption awards grants to Colorado families. These grants give parentless children from around the world and the United States permanent homes and the chance to thrive.

The Colorado chapter is currently seeking leaders throughout the state to get involved as chapter leaders and help the Colorado chapter continue to grow and reach more families. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Pam Devereux.

Board members are responsible for building awareness and raising funds for this rapidly growing, energetic, national, nonprofit dedicated to putting adoption in reach for the millions of children world-wide without a family.  Gift of Adoption inspires adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children without families permanent homes and the chance to thrive.

Board members can be located anywhere in the state, but must be willing to participate in monthly calls and quarterly in-person meetings to support the development of a strong state presence – as we create awareness of this new philanthropic category and resource our vision.

Gift of Adoption responds to COVID-19:

"Gift of Adoption continues to award grants to nearly 33 families each month. It has always been our practice (and it is especially critical now) to work closely with our grant recipients, alongside adoption agency/attorney partners, to ensure that, despite travel plan changes, delays, or unexpected costs their adoptions move forward and their waiting children come home for good."

"Angie has continued to grow and flourish. As she's developed language skills, her curiosity about the world and enjoyment in engaging others has become more apparent... The adoption experience has been so amazing and unusual in terms of the relationships, care and the way Angie has adapted despite such significant medical challenges. I feel blessed and amazed to get to be her mother."

Angie was adopted in October 2017 thanks in part to the support of Gift of Adoption Fund - Illinois Chapter.
