Junior Board Responsibility Form

The Gift of Adoption fills the void that separates child from family.  We do this by providing the final funds needed to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children.

The Junior Board (Junior Board) of the Gift of Adoption Fund (GOA) exists to build awareness and raise funds among young professionals for GOA. The Junior Board is comprised of young professionals reporting directly to the sponsoring member of the sponsoring board.

In serving on the Junior Board, I agree to actively participate in carrying out the mission of GOA and to fulfill the following duties to the best of my ability:

Individual Junior Board Member Commitments (may serve up to three 3-year terms)

  • Sign annual conflict of interest statement and notify GOA of potential conflicts of interest
  • Make a personal gift of $50 or more annually
  • Work on fundraising events and activities to secure additional contributions to GOA (e.g. selling 10 tickets to each quarterly event or 40 tickets total annually and serving as an event chairperson or committee member as available)
  • Participate in monthly junior board conference calls and meetings
  • Attend quarterly junior board meetings
  • Attend at least one event annually

Collective Chapter Responsibilities

  • Maintain Junior Board membership of 5+ members
  • Raise $10,000 or more annually and engage 50 or more volunteers and/or supporters
  • Meet Chapter Standards:
    • Establish and monitor annual plan and budget
    • Maintain a cost/$ raised ratio of $.035 cents or better
