Amplify your impact by choosing to fund a matching/bonus gift opportunity to drive giving to bring more children home to permanent, loving families.

We have both national programs, and local chapter programs for whom a matching/bonus gift will be an impact multiplier!

The giving levels listed below are examples, and we are looking for gifts at any level to help us complete adoptions for children in vulnerable circumstances. We are open to learning about any ideas you may have around how to leverage your gift.

Gift of Adoption Matching Donation

How it works: A donor pledges to make a donation of ‘up to’ a set amount to match the donations of others (often for a certain program and within a certain time period).

GOA can tailor this based on your interest — here are some suggestions and ideas of how this has been done:

Example: A donor makes a pledge to make a 1:1 match to all donations made to a Giving Circle by December 31, up to $3,000.

This has the effect of donors being motivated to give and give more because their donations are doubling/having twice the impact.

Example: A donor makes a pledge of up to $6,000 to provide a $1,500 match for every new Friend of the Chapter, up to 4 friends. This encourages 4 donors to join our Friend of the Chapter program with a pledge of $1,500/yr for 3 years.

Friends of the Chapter know that the matching donation allows them to completely underwrite an adoption grant for $6,000 in a matter of 3 years vs. 4.

Gift of Adoption Bonus Donation

How it works: A donor pledges to make a donation of a set amount when a certain condition / threshold of giving has been met.

GOA can tailor this based on your interest — here are some suggestions/ideas of how this has been done:

Example: A donor makes a bonus pledge of $5,000 to support our Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts. The bonus is ‘earned’ if 50 donors make donations of $50 or more to GOA’s giving Tuesday appeal. Achieving this threshold unlocks the bonus.

Example: A donor makes a bonus pledge of $10,000 to be ‘earned’ during a GOA event; if during the paddle raise portion of the event, GOA reaches the established fundraising goal.
