Connecticut Chapter

About Us

Welcome to the Home Page of the Gift of Adoption Connecticut Chapter.

You do not have to adopt to give a child the gift of a family. You can immediately impact the trajectory of a child’s life for the better with your donation today.

In the words of a family recently helped through the Gift of Adoption, here’s our mission in action: “Gift of Adoption helps to remove the financial barrier that often stands in the way between a loving family and a child who needs a family. We experienced first hand the high cost of adoption and wanted to help others. This wonderful organization gives us that opportunity.”

Gift of Adoption is a national, volunteer-driven charity that raises funds to provide adoption assistance grants to qualified U.S. families to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children – giving them a permanent family and the chance to thrive.

Gift of Adoption Fund
365 Grants Awarded!
An adoption assistance grant was awarded to Eric and Rebecca, who live in a northern suburb of Dallas, to provide the necessary funds to complete the adoption of their 13-year old son, from an orphanage in China. Though the financial means seemed out of reach, Trophy Club residents Eric and Rebecca were determined to welcome their son home after a very difficult upbringing in China. He has spent the past 13 years living in a group home or on his own while facing a life-threatening blood disorder, all the while going without proper medical attention or a family to care for him. Currently, he is facing his last chance at adoption with children in China no longer eligible for international adoption after turning 14 years old. This marks the 365th adoption GOA has made possible this fiscal year, reaching the goal of completing one adoption a day for every day of the year. Thanks to a generous grant from GOA, their son's dream of becoming a permanent part of a loving family is now becoming a reality. This summer, the family will travel to China to bring their son home. After 13 years in waiting, he will unite with his forever family and have a mom, dad, two sisters and a brother to call his own We look forward to sharing an update with you after he is home.

Gift Of Adoption Connecticut

As Mother’s Day approaches, we encourage you to think about all the wonderful women in your life and invite you to celebrate them by making a donation to Gift of Adoption in their name. Your gift will help unite vulnerable children with mothers (and fathers) of their own and will contribute to our efforts to unite one child per day with a loving, permanent family this year.

All donors will receive a decorative Mother’s Day card that can be printed or emailed to the woman (or women) you’re celebrating on May 13th. Wishing all the Mothers out there a wonderful and special day!

To get your special certificate, visit
