Chapter Goal

Each year, Gift of Adoption Connecticut receives requests from approximately six qualified families – representing a funding need of $22,100. The goal of the Connecticut Chapter’s all-volunteer board is to raise enough funds to help complete each of these adoptions. 100% of the money raised by the chapter is directed to uniting children with forever families in the area.

The chapter is currently seeking leaders throughout Connecticut to get involved as chapter leaders and help the chapter grow and reach more families.

You do not have to adopt to give a child the gift of a family. You can immediately impact the trajectory of a child’s life for the better with your donation today.

In the words of a family recently helped through the Gift of Adoption, here’s our mission in action: “Gift of Adoption helps to remove the financial barrier that often stands in the way between a loving family and a child who needs a family. We experienced first hand the high cost of adoption and wanted to help others. This wonderful organization gives us that opportunity.”

#SHAREPLEASE‼️‼️🙏 Here it goes PLEASE dont judge!!! OMG THIS IS SO HARD😭😭On 12/22/1999 ) I found out I was pregnant. Due date 7/20/2000 I was 16 and at the time had nobody, no way to raise a child. I was just a child myself. At the time I felt like he would be better off with a family who could give him the life he deserved and at that time I just knew I couldn't 😢 So through a legal adoption agency (Brodowski, McCurry & Maynor in Huntsville Al) I decided to put my child up for adoption! 😭 So Leann (secretary) let me meet a few families and I decided on a couple name "Amy & Bob" probably not their real names who knows? But any way Amy and Bob became a big part of my life. They took me to all doctors appointments, out to eat to movies and parks and we just got to know each other and they seemed like a great family for my child. Well Jackson if that's his name was born on July 14,2000 @ Huntsville hospital @ 11:55am weight 5lbs 6ozs!! After Jackson was born I never saw him or Amy and Bob again😓 I would go to the attorneys office every holiday, birthdays Christmas etc and always have Leann mail gifts and letters to him and he always got them cause Amy and Bob sent me pictures of him and him always holding the stuff I got for him! But on his fourth birthday i go to see leann like I always do to mail Jackson his birthday stuff and she tells me they can no longer mail anything to him nor can Amy and Bob send any more pictures or letters! I was devastated. Jackson turned 18 this year so I thought with him legally being a adult Leann at the attorneys office might help me try and reach out to them which she did(or she says she did) and got no response. So then I go to court house just to find out in state of Al sealed adoption can never be unsealed. So i dont know what to do!! Amy and Bob told me when he got old enough to understand they would tell him the truth and be in contact, which of course hasn't happen!! I haven't changed my phone in over 18 years and neither has my mom praying one day he would contact us!! I just would like to meet him and get to know him if that's possible SO MAYBE WITH THE PICS AND LETTER SOMEONE WILL RECOGNIZE HIM AND HOPEFULLY WE CAN REUNITE!! THERES NOT A DAY THAT GOES BY THAT I DONT SIT HERE AND LOOK AT THESE PICS AND IVE READ THE LETTER A MILLION TIMES!!
I believe he might be in Georgia somewhere (only cause when Amy and Bob would pick me up they had a Ga tag) I dont know if taken this personal matter to social media is a good idea or not but I've seen social media make miracles happen!! I also have 2 beautiful daughters who are 13 and 15 and would love to meet their brother. I know you already have a family! I would just love to hug your neck one time and possibly you become a part of my life!!
