The Colorado Chapter of Gift of Adoption is aiming to raise $20,000 by December 31, 2024 to complete the adoption of a child in need of a permanent family.
Each year, Gift of Adoption Colorado receives requests from approximately 17 qualified families – representing a funding need of $82,500. The goal of the Colorado Chapter’s all-volunteer board is to raise enough funds to help complete each of these adoptions but currently must say no to 1/3 of qualified applicants based on limited funds.
Will you support us with a gift today? 100% of your donation will be directed to complete the adoptions of children in vulnerable circumstances by loving, Colorado families.
Your support could help a child like James, who was adopted by Kellie and Reyna of Colorado in 2024. James was born 6 weeks prematurely in February 2024 to a birth mother who felt unable to parent. He was at risk of entering foster care but was matched with Reyna and Kellie, a couple from Montrose, CO who greatly desired to start a family through adoption. Kellie and Reyna needed some financial assistance to cover all the adoption costs and turned to Gift of Adoption Colorado. A $7,500 grant enabled them to complete James’ adoption, ensuring James knows permanency and security and receives the love and care he needs to thrive.
