About Gift of Adoption California
As of December 2020, Gift of Adoption California has awarded $293,500 in adoption assistance grants across California to complete the adoptions of 94 children.
Each year, Gift of Adoption California receives requests from approximately 16 qualified families – representing a funding need of $62,560. The goal of the California Chapter’s all-volunteer board is to raise enough funds to help complete each of these adoptions. 100% of the money raised by the chapter is directed to uniting children with forever families in the area.
Gift of Adoption of California launched in 2017 and is the 21st chapter. The California Chapter currently seeking leaders throughout the state to get involved as chapter leaders and help the chapter grow and reach more families.
Board members are responsible for building awareness and raising funds for this rapidly growing, energetic, national, nonprofit dedicated to putting adoption in reach for the millions of children world-wide without a family. Gift of Adoption inspires adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children without families permanent homes and the chance to thrive.
Board members can be located anywhere in the state, but must be willing to participate in monthly calls and quarterly in-person meetings to support the development of a strong state presence – as we create awareness of this new philanthropic category and resource our vision.
