About Us

Welcome to the Home Page of the Gift of Adoption Texas Chapter.

GOA-Texas

Gift of Adoption Texas is currently seeking volunteers throughout the state to get involved as chapter Board leaders to help the chapter grow and reach more children and families. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Pam Devereux.

Board members are responsible for building awareness and raising funds for this rapidly growing, energetic, national, nonprofit dedicated to putting adoption in reach for the millions of children world-wide without a family.  Gift of Adoption inspires adoption by providing grants to qualified parents – giving children without families permanent homes and the chance to thrive.

Board members can be located anywhere in the state, but must be willing to participate in monthly calls and quarterly in-person meetings to support the development of a strong state presence – as we create awareness of this new philanthropic category and resource our vision.

Gift of Adoption Fund - Texas Chapter

Gift of Adoption Fund
365 Grants Awarded!
An adoption assistance grant was awarded to Eric and Rebecca, who live in a northern suburb of Dallas, to provide the necessary funds to complete the adoption of their 13-year old son, from an orphanage in China. Though the financial means seemed out of reach, Trophy Club residents Eric and Rebecca were determined to welcome their son home after a very difficult upbringing in China. He has spent the past 13 years living in a group home or on his own while facing a life-threatening blood disorder, all the while going without proper medical attention or a family to care for him. Currently, he is facing his last chance at adoption with children in China no longer eligible for international adoption after turning 14 years old. This marks the 365th adoption GOA has made possible this fiscal year, reaching the goal of completing one adoption a day for every day of the year. Thanks to a generous grant from GOA, their son's dream of becoming a permanent part of a loving family is now becoming a reality. This summer, the family will travel to China to bring their son home. After 13 years in waiting, he will unite with his forever family and have a mom, dad, two sisters and a brother to call his own We look forward to sharing an update with you after he is home.
