Adoption Success Story: Isla
Isla, a newborn, was born in California. Her birth mother struggled with the decision to give Isla up to adoption, but after a traumatic experience with her birth father, knew that another family would be able to provide Isla a better future.
After Ryan and Leah, of Ohio, struggled to have biological children for ten years, they decided that they were being called toward adoption. The couple entered an open adoption with Isla’s mother and were able to bring Isla home from the hospital in May 2019. A grant from the Gift of Adoption helped Ryan and Leah afford the remainder of adoption expenses that were needed after they brought Isla home.
Adoption was able to change Ryan, Leah, and Isla’s lives for the better.
