Gift of Adoption Welcomes Kelly West to its Board of Directors

National charitable organization welcomes Denver-based management consultant and supply-chain consultant to its national board

Chicago, IL – Gift of Adoption Fund, a non-profit organization providing financial assistance to complete both domestic and international adoptions, is announcing the newest member of its Board of Directors. Kelly West, Founder and President of the MilesWest Group, will now lend her leadership abilities to the organization’s governing body.

“Our Board of Directors assists us with critical decision making and governance tasks,” says Pam Devereux, Gift of Adoption CEO. “We depend on the leadership capabilities of our national board members to achieve our mission of providing more children with the opportunity to join their forever families.”

Today, there are more than 150 million orphans in the world with 415,000 children in the U.S. alone living without permanent families[1]. Gift of Adoption puts adoption in reach for more parentless children by providing the final funding necessary for adoptive families to welcome a child home. West will help Gift of Adoption expand its national reach and place more children in nurturing homes through her role on the organization’s national board.

West studied Psychology at Boston University. Over the course of her 20-year career, West has functioned as a thought-leader in the corporate mobility sector, counseling corporations and employees on the nuances of relocation and international assignment. West moved to Denver from Toronto in 2018, where she founded the MilesWest Group. In her current role, West provides companies with optimization and supply chain management advice. She belongs to the Worldwide Employee Relocation Council.

West and her husband, Bo, are parents to three adult children. The family is active at their local church, where they support an adoption ministry.

“Adoption has touched every facet of my life. Growing up, two of my aunts were parents to adopted sons; in high-school, my best friend was adopted into a wonderful family. As an adult, we have had a number of close friends adopt children from overseas locations,” says West. “The mission and vision of Gift of Adoption is so powerful and inspiring, being able to assist in any capacity is pretty awesome.”
